More on the way you look tonight

If you didn't already see it, my latest theme features a Jerome Kern song and Fred Astaire singing. I love the song, love Fred singing it, and built the theme around the nostalgic look of the anonymous but lovely faces that we come across while browsing in antique stores and estate sales. I love imagining who the women in the photos are.

The movie Swing Time shows Fred and Ginger in a sentimental but comical scene featuring the song.

I only wish I could look so beautiful in shampoo!

All the leaves on the trees are falling...

No fooling: think pink

Doll up in vintage

I don't know about you, but I loved paper dolls when I was young, and apparently so did The Mills Brothers, who inspired my March theme...Paper Dolls.

Q: What becomes of my monthly themes once the month ends?

A: They become theme-o-matics!

I'm happy to say that the third denisebrain theme-o-matic is up and wholly functional. Included are some favorites, including Campy (aptly subtitled by a reader "early Barbie goes camping. Oh, and meets a bear"), Wild Thing (showing my roots) and Wonderland (in which I unwittingly anticipated the release of the Alice in Wonderland movie).
