Kelly Bundy Tribute (80s tribute)
Christina Applegate in 'Married with Children' in the 1980s. (Some could be from early 90s but even so, they look 80ish...) Ps, note how lovely 'red-red' outfits are!

The denisebrain theme-o-matic II
I produce a little flash promo every month, and didn't want these to disappear forever. If you would like to see some of the previous months' themes, there is now a theme-o-matic covering much of the last year.
Other themes are in the first theme-o-matic.
Thank you for taking a look!

My raincoat cares about me!
I've always loved the labels in Misty Harbor coats. Sometimes you will find the Irish blessing-like Misty Harbor Wish:
"Health to wear this-
Strength to tear this-
and Wealth to buy a new one"
And you will always find the little tag at the neck, "Wear in Good Health."
The coats are charming, usually tricked out with extra buttons, hidden tabs for keeping the lower button placket shut in a gale, and with interesting pockets inside and out. I've never seen one that wasn't washable.
This one currently available on eBay
They're cute, they're happy, and they wish you good health...what more could a girl want?
Cobra: 80s movie
Not too much fashion in this post, but sharing some of the lovely 80s feel from this 1986 movie with Sylvester Stallone and Brigitte Nielsen. Click any image to enlarge :)
(Ps, thanks again for visiting my blog, and sorry again that the image quality is so poor: i capture these pictures from the tv screen (with camera) - very amateurish nowadays! )
From Haiti...for Haiti
I have had this purse in my own collection for a dozen years. I know it is older than that because I bought it used then, and it instantly became one of my favorites. The bag is made of straw on a sturdy frame, and it is decorated with colorful straw and cotton dolls, and strings of beads. It opens like a picnic basket, and has always made me think of a little picnic basket. Perfect for taking your lunch to work?
Moreover, the bag was made in Haiti, probably for the tourist trade. It breaks my heart to part with this bag, but it breaks my heart even more to think of the devastation and suffering in Haiti. The bag is up in my eBay auctions right now, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières.
Please help me help this group, which had been a major presence in Haiti before the quake, and has been working tirelessly to provide critical medical services since the devastation of the earthquake.
The bag is listed here. Please, consider adding even one dollar to its bid...I'm so hoping to make at least a little impact with this sale.

Iridescence
According to Wikipedia, Iridescence (also known as goniochromism) is generally known as the property of certain surfaces which appear to change colour as the angle of view changes. Iridescence may be seen commonly in soap bubbles, butterfly wings and sea shells.
Musn't forget party dresses! I just listed this red/black iridescent taffeta dress on eBay (here) and marveled at how happy this fabric always makes me. Every time I see it I have to move the fabric to watch the color change.
I decided to start trying to collect some images of iridescent clothing I've sold and am selling. I'm working on a new Flickr set:
If you need further inspiration, how about these iridescent lovelies from Etsy vintage sellers:
(deleted due to all being sold!)
The weather's changeable, so why not your dress?
